Hi Katherine,

The Fertility Cleanse in general is a great way for anyone who is experiencing fertility challenges to create a foundation for hormonal balance and a healthy uterus for implantation. Fertility Cleansing creates a "clean slate" within the body that helps the body to respond and utilize other natural remedies better. This cleanse is best done first, prior to beginning other herbs for fertility. Pregnancy Prep may be started after the Fertility Cleanse is over. I find that yearly cleansing is essential to health!

Learning how to chart your cycle will help you to determine if you are in fact ovulating. Learn how to chart here: http://natural-fertility-info.com/guide-to-fertility-charting.html

We have a great article on tilted uterus and what you can do about it here: http://natural-fertility-info.com/tilted-uterus.html

Best Wishes,

Dalene

Hello,
I wanted to get your opinion about whether I should do the Fertility Cleanse and/or Pregnancy Prep? My husband and I have been TTC for a year and a half now without success. I went through all of the testing and it came back normal thus giving me a diagnosis of "unexplained infertility." (My husband tested fine as well.) I am looking for natural ways to get pregnant and wondered what of your products I should try? Part of me wonders if I have some trouble with ovulating and I know that I have a tipped uterus. Does this affect pregnancy?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Mo,

Without knowing more about you and your lifestyle, health history, ect., it is extremely difficult to say what may be happening. <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/the-best-natural-remedies-for-fibroids.html" rel="nofollow">Uterine polyps</a> are a sign of hormonal imbalance. So that may be an issue. Timing sexual intercourse is very important as well, as there are only a few days that you have a chance to become pregnant. Learning to <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/guide-to-fertility-charting.html" rel="nofollow">chart your cycle</a> would be helpful. Supporting hormonal balance with <a href="http://www.naturalfertilityshop.com/Fertility-Superfoods-s/66.htm" rel="nofollow">fertility superfoods</a> may be helpful as well. Because I don't have the best information about you, you may want to consider a <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/natural-fertility-email-consultations" rel="nofollow">consultation.</a> While your doctor may feel that <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/how-to-quit-smoking-to-protect-your-fertility.html" rel="nofollow">smoking</a> and drinking <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/is-my-adrenal-health-affecting-my-fertility.html" rel="nofollow">alcohol</a> may not affect fertility, if you are struggling, it may be a factor.

Best Wishes,

Dalene

Hello
I happened to come across this site and it's really uplifting to see that there's lots of other women facing similar challenges accross the globe.
I am 29yr old and my hubby, 34 have been trying to concieve for about 3 years now. Year by year i went through so many tests and the only thing my gyn could see was some mayomas that were far from interfering with my fertility. Just this Sept 2011, i went for another one of the many ultra sound scans i have been having. They found a small polyp in the uterus and had it removed under local anastasia on Dec 1, 2011. Other than that, every test has come back perfect, my hubby has also tested perfect and the fact that he has a 6 yr old from the past. My question is, do you think that i should believe the gyn that i have 87% more chance of getting pregnant now that the polyp has been removed or should i go for one of your products?. I should also mention that i had another smal polyp removed the exact date and time in 20110, this one was just on top of the uterus entrance and i thought that was it... my period has never failed me since i was 14, very regular but every now and then,i bleed too much especially in my mid 20's. I also just quit smoking and drinking too much alcohol even though the specialist strongly believes that it does NOT have much to do with my "Unexplained infertility'' and that i am extremely fertile. I live in Denmark where medical care is free but doesn't seem to work for mee... It's soooo confusing. Please advice

Hi Christine,

Choosing regular massage therapy is a great way to reduce stress levels! Talk to your massage therapist about timing the massage, let him/her know that you are trying to conceive and they can help you to make a plan of when to schedule appointments. You want to avoid abdominal massage or certain points on the body that may stimulate labor, especially if you think you may be pregnant (after ovulation up to your period if you are not sure).

Best Wishes,

Dalene

Hi Abigail,

Metformin is a medication usually given to women with PCOS, for insulin resistance. It sounds like you may not know this and it may be a good idea to talk to your doctor about this. If you are using OPK and you are getting a positive sign once a month, that is all you need! Most women ovulate only one time per month. The most fertile days for a woman are the two days prior to ovulation, and the day of ovulation. You may find it helpful to learn more about charting, which you can do at this link: http://natural-fertility-info.com/menstrual-calendar-charting-your-signs-of-fertility.html

All the best,

Dalene

I want to start getting massages to help with my stress. Should I get a massage right before I ovulate? I'm trying everything natural before I go down the fertility drug route.
Thanks:)

Hi I am 24 years old, I've spent the past 4 years with my husband trying to become pregnant. The doctor i've seen in the past was very vague and said I had an unexplained infertility issue. I do not have regular menstrual cycles. I was placed on metformin to help with my "hormones" it works in helping with my periods, I do not get them every month, but almost every other month. After my menstrual cycle (when I do get them) i'll check for ovulation with an ovluation kit, and it shows I only ovulate (1) once per cycle. What would help me?

Hi Daniela,

All of those herbs have been shown safe for combination. There is no way for me to know if these herbs are right for you or not, as I know nothing about you.

Best Wishes,

Dalene

Hi Jyoti,

Low progesterone is the first thing that came to my mind.

Symptoms of progesterone deficiency:

Recurrent early miscarriage
No period
Not ovulating
Endometriosis
PCOS
PMS
Cramps during menses
Blood clotting
Swollen breasts
Fibrocystic breasts
Loss of libido
Obesity
Depression
Low thyroid
Facial hair
Hot flashes
Night sweats
Vaginal dryness
Foggy thinking
Memory lapse
Incontinence
Tearful
Depressed
Sleep disturbances
Heart palpitations
Bone loss
Water retention

It sounds like you may have several of these symptoms. Clomid is not synthetic progesterone. Clomid is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It increases production of gonadotropins by inhibiting negative feedback on the hypothalamus. It is an ovarian stimulant designed to aid a woman in ovulating. It may be time to get some hormone testing done, that way you will know for sure what is going on. Once you know that, choosing natural therapies may be easier!

Best Wishes,

Dalene

Hello,
After going through the articles on your very helpful site, I am doing the Fertility Cleanse for my current cycle (D15). I have also started Royal Jelly and am also slowly transforming to the Fertility Diet. I am working out a plan for myself after the cleanse and am hoping you would be able to provide inputs.
I am 33yrs old. Except for the past 2 yrs, I have always had irregular periods - sometimes going as long as 6 months without a period. I have lots of body and facial hair (upper lips, chin, neck). Also, my periods are more often than not, very painful and make me weak and disoriented. On a number of occassions I have taken time off from work at the start of my period.
My cycles over the past 2 yrs have stabalized to 6w - on their own - I have no explanation. However, when we TTC starting 1.5 yrs back, I found I did not ovulate - the OPK never showed a positive and on reading about it, I realized I had 'never' in my lifetime had EWCM. My ob/gyn put me on Clomid - I have been on 4 cycles of clomid so far. I had ovulated during the initial 2 (the first time I experienced EWCM). However, I did not ovulate during the 3rd and 4th cycle even though the 4th cycle was of a higher dosage (100mg). An ultrasound prior to the Clomid cycle had shown incompletely developed follicles. I have never been on BC pills.
Given that I do not ovulate on my own, I am wondering what is the best path for my body? Since I ovulated on Clomid and among other signs, have a lot of body hair, I am inclined to think low progesterone is not my problem. Hence, maybe Vitex is not for me? What herbs could help my body ovulate on it's own?
Thanks.

Hi Masha,

Have you talked to your doctor about the possibility of scar tissue or adhesion in the uterus contributing to your irregular cycles and difficulty in trying to conceive? Sometimes surgery to remove <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/the-best-natural-remedies-for-fibroids.html" rel="nofollow">Uterine Fibroids</a> can leave behind scar tissue and adhesion. This may cause the uterus to function improperly, or not completely shed correctly during menses. This may contribute to hormonal imbalance.

It is fine to begin the Fertility Cleanse at any time. Because you do not have a regular bleeding time, you would just pick a day you would like to begin and count the days out for each phase as if you do have a regular menstrual cycle.

For a personalized guide to the best natural therapies and remedies for your unique situation, please consider purchasing a <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/natural-fertility-email-consultations" rel="nofollow">consultation</a>.

Best Wishes,

Everything you are taking and are planning on using sound right on for pregnancy preparation. Be sure to eat a whole food nutrient dense diet like the <a href="http://natural-fertility-info.com/fertility-diet" rel="nofollow">Natural Fertility Diet</a> and get in exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week!
