Stress/Adrenaline - can it prevent implantation?

Postby pemmie » Sun May 23, 2010

Hi: i just did my 3rd IVF cycle after 2 previous failures. the transfer went pretty well and i rested all night afterwards. the next morning i woke up and received a very upsetting message which made my blood boil - literally. i could feel this terrible rush of adrenaline surge through my body. immediately i pulled up my mediation CD and calmed myself down, but i'm worried that i might have just ruined EVERYTHING and that i might have scared away my embryo. anyway, just wanted to get your perspective as i'm feeling really screwed now... SIGH...

thanks!!

Pemmie,

I feel like this is sort of a "loaded" question. I don't want you to feel bad in anyway, as IVF is a delicate matter and trying to get pregnant for some is such a stressful journey to begin with.

You handled this situation perfectly. Take some time to continue working on relaxing and see how this plays out. I hope this is it for you!
Best Wishes,
