Question on Dosing of Herbs and Supplements

Postby mstross » Sat Jun 19, 2010

Hello Hethir and Dalene
I just have a question about dosing. I've noticed that most supplements have a varied suggested amount that you can take. One example is a bottle that suggests that you can take 1-2 capsules two to three times a day. That means you could take anywhere between 3-6 caps a day. How do you know if you're the person who needs to take the three a day or if you're the person who should be taking the six a day? I ask because I'm about half way through the Cleanse and I want to order some additional herbs and supplements to continue to help me strengthen my fertility and lessen my chances of another miscarriage. (I've had 9) I'm afraid in my desperation I might want to take the maximum dosage to get the maximum results but I don't want to make myself ill. That would defeat my purpose. With the Cleanse kit I am just following the directions that came with the kit. If I order individual items, I am assuming that I would follow the suggested use found on the back of the bottle. Can you explain why the suggested use is written this way and how I could know which suggested dose would be best for me? And I know you probably get this question all the time but I would be greatly appreciative it if you could let me know if it is safe (and maybe dose suggestion) to take all of the following together and for at least three months while I eat the fertility diet:
Pregnancy Prep, L-Arginine, Vitex, MACA, Zymessence and the Omega 3,6,9s. along with my prenatal vitamin.
Thanks so much I really appreciate you and this site, mstross

More does not always = better results or faster results. Starting off slowly is best, starting with the lowest dosage and working up as needed.

I am assuming that I would follow the suggested use found on the back of the bottle.

Please follow the suggested dosage for each of those products found on the product label. Please pay especially close attention to how and when to take Zymessence so that you can achieve best results, this one needs to be taken on an empty stomach. All of those are safe to take while eating the Fertility Diet.
