fertility treatments

Postby missbull1995 » Sun May 31, 2009

i am going on my 3rd attempt at ivf for secondary infertility and I am also doing acupuncture and drinking the herbal tea. Can you tell me where I should start as far as what I should be taking to help boost my chances with ivf. I had a laproscopic for stage 3 endo 1 year ago and I don't know if I still have it or not.
Thanks, Molly

Hey Molly,

This is a great place to come. Hethir has tons of info re: IVF success.... I'll let her share her links :D

I have never had IVF but from all I've read/researched healthy eggs, healthy sperm and a healthy uterine lining is extremely important.

If you're not already taking a PreNatal vitamin I would start now. There are also a few herbs you can take to increase egg and sperm health, as well as some to fight endo.

Acupuncture is AMAZING !!!!!! If it is possible I would continue it as long as possible. Studies prove that acupuncture before, and during IVF treatments had a much higher success rate than those who did not have acupuncture. Not only does it help with blood circulation, hormone regulation, etc. but it also helps with reducing stress which is essential during IF treatments.

Many prayers to you for a successful cycle... I'll be looking forward to hearing how it went!
