Hi all. I have followed this website since a failed IVF attempt earlier this year. Short of it is that I had blocked tubes on both sides. After IVF, which was very painful for me, I decided to try natural remedies. I did the fertility cleanse and fertility massage from here. I've added various supplements to my diet that are recommended here, have been seeing an acupuncturist and have been on Chinese herbs for a few months now. Also the castor oil packs. At the end of July I went to Clear Passages Therapy in Florida. I just had a follow-up HSG this week, and it shows that my left tube is now clear, and there are traces of spillage in my right tube. I'm overjoyed by this news. I think Clear Passages did the trick.
But now I have another complication, about which I've just become aware. I have hydrosalpinx on both sides, ironically more on the left (clearer) side. I was asked before IVF whether I had this, but in my earlier HSGs my tubes were so blocked they couldn't see any of my tubal structure, and consequently could not see any inflammation/liquid. From reading online, it appears that this is an out of the frying pan, into the fire situation, because this stuff can be toxic to embryos (with or without IVF) and seems to have every fewer options than blocked tubes without a known cause. I'm not sure if my blocked tubes are from the hydrosalpinx or were from adhesions primarily (I've had two laparoscopies for endo and a broken rib that resulted in an adhesion that ran down my abdomen between my rib and pelvis). I am in touch with Clear Passages about doing some follow-up treatment, but I'm also wondering if anyone has any knowledge of additional natural healing methods for this.
I've read one thing online that said silica works, another said antibiotics, and more or less everything else said surgery to remove the fluid or surgery to remove the tubes!
To the extent it impacts responses or indicates a particular kind of hydrosalpinx, I believe I had TB in my genital tract. Years ago I had TB, and it was undiagnosed for almost a year. I was a freak case because it was really bad, but I was completely asymptomatic. I have some structural damage to the insides of my tubes that, with research, has shown I had TB there (it's apparently very common in third-world countries where TB is still prevalent). There's a connection between TB and hydrosalpinx as well. I guess I mean I at least feel pretty positive the root cause of the infection that caused the problem is over if that impacts the ability to clear the inflammation and liquid.
Any thoughts would be appreciated tremendously.
Thanks,
A
