Hi Crisy,

EFA's (essential fatty acids) are essential for the production of hormones in both the woman and men. Hormones use these fats as building blocks for what will become progesterone and many other reproductive hormones. This is how EFA's may help promote healthy ovulation= healthy hormones. EFA's do not directly promote ovulation.

There are different sources of Omega 3's and different acids that make up or are considered an omega 3.

For example our Fertilica Omega 3, 6, 9 contains:

Omega 3 from Flax seed oil (alpha linolenic acid), but the flax also contians omega 6 and 9 as well, (cis-linolenic acid and oleic acid).

The fish oil in the blend contains docosa hexaenoic acid (omega 3) and eicosapentaenoic acid (omega 3 as well). The fish oil also contains a variety of other EFA's.
Best Wishes,
