Fish Oil or Baby Aspirin?

Postby PrincessWinnie » Thu May 13, 2010

I take 1200 mg fish oil every day and was considering adding a daily dose of baby aspirin due to 2 very early m/c (one was chemical). However I know that both are considered anticoagulants and was worried it would be harmful to take both. Anyone have any ideas, or know if one is better than the other?

I also take a prenatal, royal jelly/propolis, daily smoothies containing whole milk yogurt, berries, wheatgrass, flax oil, chia, seaweed, and maca. Pre-O I add 2,000 mg EPO.

Hi PrincessWinnie,

We are not medical doctors and feel that Fertility Enzyme Therapy is just as effective, has more benefits, less health risk (if really any) as aspirin and has proven results in helping prevent immunological response (rejection of the fetus). It is also a slight blood thinner.

As to the fish oil and aspirin combination thinning the blood too much...you would have to be taking very high doses of fish oil for this to happen, mainly Omega 3's. Please ask your doctor about the aspirin risk.

People at risk for a complication from too high of a dose of fish oil or risk of excess bleeding from Fertility Enzyme Therapy would be those having surgery or taking blood thinners already. Discontinue use of Fertility Enzyme Therapy 2 weeks prior to surgery or giving birth.
Best Wishes,
