I have just joined and have been reading through some of the information. I thought I would share my story and see if I could get any advice. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years now. I have gone through 5 IUI's and now am completing my third IVF with the egg retrieval tomorrow. All three IVF's I had no more then 5 follicles going into the retrieval. Last cycle I had only two mature. My RE says everything looks good. I have no problems, but I seem to have low numbers. We were really hoping for over 7 with this cycle. My protocol was a microdose lupron in the morning and night, 175 menopur, 300 follistim. This 3rd cycle, I seem to be blaming myself. I don't understand why I can't have higher numbers. I am a very healthy person, my husband and I do not drink. I have been a runner my whole life. Going into this last cycle I have tried Royal Jelly, yoga and acupuncture. One of the nurses mention to me egg donor and I was in tears for two days.

I am asking for all prayers for tomorrow and the ET day. I am wondering what I can do differently with my lifestyle.

Do you have a low percentage of body fat, since you are a runner?

I am at a healthy body weight and BMI. I have had normal periods each month- every 27 days lasting 3-4 days. My RE said I can not get anymore normal!:) I do not run/excerise during any treatments.


Today there were 4 good follicles. They said all I need is 1:)
