Hey ladies,

A friend of mine has PCOS. She has been taking vitex to regulate her cycle. She has had one "normal" period, but has had some major clotting issues a few times since she's started (she's been taking it for 6 months)

She believes its a miscarriage, because of the amount of clotting (larger than a half dollar size) however isn't quite sure. She does not have access to any decent doctors where she lives, she's gone before the the docs blew her off!!

I'm not familiar with clotting or m/c issues. I'm thinking either her lining wasn't adequate so she may have lost the baby very early on, or she may have some clotting issues going on and did not have a m/c.

Has anyone experienced some similar issues?

Hethir or Dalene, what could I recommend to her? I've told her about the Castor oil and the fertility massage. I know there is no cure all, but if you guys could recommend a few things for her to use, what would you suggest?

***She's currently taking Metformin, Citalopram (for anxiety) and Vitex.*** Yes, I've tried to get her to try natural methods instead of Rx's, but no success yet.

While miscarriages are different for anyone, many times the bleeding lasts longer than a normal period. But regardless (as we will never know without testing)
large clots are a sign of congestion in the body. Increasing circulation to the uterus with Self Fertility Massage, Castor oil packs can help to get fresh blood and liquids to the reproductive system. Dong Quai is another herb she may want to look into as it increases circulation to the uterus. In addition a Fertility Cleanse may be helpful to get things moving and help cleanse the liver of excess hormones. She should check with her doctor about the clotting to also make sure she does not have any real clotting issues as well as making sure she can use the Fertility Cleanse kit in conjunction with her medications.
