ovarian cysts, fibroids and fertility

Postby Alpines30 » Thu Feb 25, 2010

Hi

I've just had laproscopy for 2 ovarian cysts, about 5cm and the other 3cm, one on each side of the ovary.
I've also got uterine fibroids, about 3.8cm and 2.5cm.
I'm already in my late 30s and have been trying to conceive without success. Genereally, I do not have pcos, endometrosis or
any other period irregularity. Dietwise, I've been very careful to consume more organic greens and fish.
For the past 10 years, I've been on a number of TCM medication but they seem to help little.
I believe stress must have been a major contributing factor to the hormonal imbalance.
I've recently purchased the fertility cleanse (yet to arrive) and ovarianwise kit.
Please advise: Is it ok to take the zymessence daily if the cysts are no longer there? I've also got Maca and DIM. Can I take
these 3 together? Also when do I start applying the progesterone cream? the 8th day or the 10th day after the menstrual cycle? Will it
interfer with ovulation?

Looking forward to your reply. Tks!

Hi Alpines30,

Zymessence needs to be taken alone (not in combination with other supplements), be sure to follow the EXACT instructions on the lable. How you take this product is very important to it effectiveness. The other supplements should be taken at a different time in the day. Taking Zymessence daily, even if the cysts and fibroids are not present may help to prevent new ones.

For most uses you would begin to use progesterone by using this calculation:
Figure out the first day of your period. Subtract two weeks. That day would be the first day you start using the progesterone cream. Progesterone Cream use will only prevent ovulation if you use it consistently before ovulation occurs.

Hi Dalene

thanks for your advice. Yes, I've been taking Zymessence before food and DIM after food.
What about castor oil? Can I apply it even though I've no pain or cysts after the period?
I intend to do a FertiliyCleanse when the kit arrive. Is it alright if I begin applying the Progesterone Cream
the month after? Can I also consume Dong Quai right after the period?

Tks!

You would begin DongQuai the day after your period ends and use the progesterone cream after ovulation up to your period.

An average cycle length is 28 - 30 days. In this case you would begin using progesterone on day 12 of your cycle, counting the first day of your period as day 1. If your cycle is shorter or longer than the given example you would start two weeks before day one of when your period is due.

Yes you can apply castor oil packs if you have no pain after your period.

Hi

my gynae actually recommended that i take Clomid since I've had the surgery.
But i'm already on the natural fertility herbs, is it still ok to take the Clomid?
i'm kinda worried about the side effects. Please advise.

We do not recommend taking fertility herbs while taking fertility medications like Clomid.

Hi

I've been on the DIM and Zym for 3 wks plus already. I also started the natural progesterone on day 10.
But on day 23, (approx 5 wks after the cyst removal surgery), my period came (2nd cycle), this time 4 days earlier
than usual and lasted about 4 days. However, I still had some gripping and pulling cramps for 2 days. Is this unusual?
I read about the MACA's benefits. Is it advisable to take it now?

Pls advise. Tks!

Hi,

Supplements usually take time to be effective. Sounds like your body is still adjusting and healing. It is up to you if you would like to add Maca to your regimine. Maca can be taken everyday safely. There are no known side effects from taking Maca. Are you taking Clomid, we don't recommend taking Maca while on feritlity meds.

Tks for your advise, Dalene. No, I'm not on Clomid or any contraceptive. Decided to eschew these pills and go
the natural way. Actually, I did notice that my periods have lesser clots and the flow's better after being on the Zym.
I've decided to add Maca to the list.

You mentioned earlier that castor oil packs can be applied after the period if there's no pain.
Well, there's no pain per say but a niggering kind of discomfort, on the left lower abdomen, much like muscle fatigue.
I'd this before the surgery but the intensity now is less. Wonder if this is also due to the ovary still healing? Will it be ok to
apply the castor oil now?

Tks!

Castor Oil packs can be used everyday except while on your period. Castor Oil is more effective the more days you use it in a row.
