Miscarriage

Miscarriage

Postby ydevi2003 » Sun Mar 01, 2009

Hello,

I'm a new member here and I would like to ask some suggestions here.

I am 35 years old now and was married for nearly two years. My husband is same age with me. My husband and I have been trying to have kids ever since we got married. Nearly a year after our marriage, I got pregnant but when my fetus was only five weeks old, the fetus just stopped developing and about two weeks later I had my miscarriage. It was a very painful moment for me and my husband. However the doctor didn't find anything unusual about my miscarriage so we never thought anything about it.

Early this year somewhere in January, I got pregnant again (tested positive by using a home pregnancy kit but the signal was a faint line) but not even a month I had my miscarriage. I just started to have my period but my period was really dark similar to what I had during my first miscarriage. After more than a week I tested my urine again but the test was negative. This puzzled both my husband and me. I am beginning to think maybe I have a weak womb and decided to go for a medical check up but my husband stopped me as I am only two months due to finishing my PhD studies. He was afraid if the result from the medical check up may distract my studies. He told that after I have completed my studies, both of us should go for the check up together.

Meanwhile I thought of doing some exercises at home to strengthen my womb but I am not sure what sort of exercise it is. I used to go for swimming and walking before my marriage but stopped after marriage due to time constrain. I wonder if there is any stretching exercises that I could do in my own bedroom for my womb. Please advice.

Thank you.

Regards,
Devi.

Hi Devi,

I am not sure that you have a weak womb or that having a weak womb is what is causing your miscarriages. There a some simple steps you can do to help prevent Recurrent Miscarriage. Eat a Nutrient Dense Fertility Diet, cleanse out old tissues and blood by doing a Fertility Cleanse, apply Self Fertility Massage to help break up old stagnant blood and tissues that may be left behind from the miscarriage. SFM will also help blood circulate to and from the uterus better, thus bringing in fresh new blood and then cycling out the old blood. SFM can also help to tone the uterus, the uterus likes to be massaged, when it is it will gently contract helping to tone the muscles, readying them for the hard job of labor. Make sure you are taking a whole food prenatal multi-vitamin like Baby and Me Prenatal Multi-vitamin. It is very important to have proper nutrition and including a prenatal vitamin is essential to creating a healthy environment for your baby to survive. You may also want to look into taking herbs such as Maca. It is also important to know if your hormones are balanced, having too much estrogen and not enough progesterone can cause miscarriage. Sometimes women miscarry because of immulogical response; the body thinks the baby is a foreign body and will attack it. Be sure to discuss possibilities of miscarriage with your doctor. Finding out a possible cause could help you to know which direction to go when looking to implement a natural therapy.

Try red raspberry leaf tea. It is supposed to strengthen the uterus, and is all around good for you, even through pregnancy.

There are so very many things that can cause/lead to a m/c....it takes quite a workup to figure out exactly what is going on.

If you've had multiple miscarriages I would suggest getting into see the doctor. They'll try to give you medications like baby aspirin or giving yourself heprin shots (most doctors assume multiple m/c are due to a clotting issue) during the first trimester, etc.... I think you can strengthen your womb and body more by using herbal/natural ways.

I do suggest you consider some genetic testing. I've spoken with so many people over the past 9 years and have learned a lot about multiple m/c. Many of the women had a genetic factor that caused the m/c.

Also, women with PCOS and other infertility issues have irregular hormones. My progesterone was extremely low during my pregnancies and I had to take a progesterone supplement during my first trimester. The problem is testing for progesterone levels is not common in OB/GYN practices so you have to request it.

Red Raspberry Leaf is an amazing female tonic. It does help tone the uterus and strengthen it. I'm using it now before we ttc again, that would be something worth taking.

Of course, if you're ttc stay away from ALL OTC prescriptions. Although doctors say some are safe during pregnancy, you should not take anything unless medically required while ttc and during your first trimester.

Prayers to you!

2 miscarriages and ttc

Postby LadyJ » Tue Feb 16, 2010

Hello,
I have a couple questions about what I should be doing to become pregnant. I suffered from 2 miscarriages in 2007 and 2008, both in the first trimester. Ever since then, my partner and I have been ttc but with no luck. I've been getting my periods regularly until about 2-3 months ago. These last couple months my periods have been shorteter, more spottier. I can't think of anything I'm doing differently, however; I'm really stressed about not being pregnant. It's been really hard on both my partner and I. I'm so worried. I want to try all the natural solutions from the naturalfertilityinfo.com website with Hethir R. But, I can't stop wondering if I am becoming or have become infertile? The doctor always tells me the same old thing, " you're not infertile, miscarriages happen all the time, it's just a matter of time before you become pregnant again." I have not done any testing, mostly because the doctor said I'd have to wait until I had another miscarriage in order to have any testing done and so far from my recent check-up "everything looks fine and normal"....I just have to wait. So, I'd really like to try these natural remedies, specifically, the fertility cleanse and the multivitamins. But, my biggest concern is.....is there hope for me? I want a family sooo bad.

Miscarriage

Postby LadyJ » Tue Feb 16, 2010

Thank you for responding so quickly. I really appreciate the second opinion; especially since this is the first time I've reached out to talk to anyone about my issues, well, besides my mom and the doctor. I have a check up coming in 2 weeks, so I plan on double checking everything again before I start anything new. So, I have another question about the fertility cleanse. I'm currently taking the vitamims "vitex" and "donq quai", would I need to finish these supplements/vitamins before I start the fertility cleanse?
