Fertility Cleansing

Postby angel » Sun Jun 06, 2010

Dear Darlene,

I am getting ready to start the fertility cleanse once I reach the sixth day of my cycle or the end of my current period. My cycle is currently 29 to 30 days in length. I am wondering if the cleanse will change that? My husband and I want to start ttc the cycle or two after I finish the cleanse and I want to still have a consistant cycle so I will be better able to tell when I am ovulating. Will the cleanse change my cycle's consistency?

Thank you so much,

Chelsie

Hi Chelsie,

There is no way for me to know if it will or not. Every woman's body is different and changes differently and uniquely to the cleansing of the liver, which may cause hormonal changes after the clenase. This should balance out after the first month. Without knowing anything about you and your unique situation it is difficult to say and no one can know for sure how your body will adjust to the cleanse.

The goal of Fertility Cleansing is to create a healthy foundation for hormonal balance and uterine health. It is not designed to regulate your menstrual cycle, though it may help your body work toward that for women who have irregular cycles.

Darlene,

Thank you very much for your quick response. A little history on me... I currently have an ovarian cyst, I have had two previous miscarriages, I have been diagnosed with a Luteal Phase Defect, and they currently want to put me on Clomid. I am very much for natural alternatives and would like to try what I can naturally before going ahead with the Clomid. I have been on Vitex and Maca for one month and will take a break from it during the cleanse. I am also currently doing the fertility massage and the castor oil packs. My cycle has never been irregular and I am really hoping this cleanse will not change that. I just want to make sure it is appropriate for me to do this cleanse even when my cycles are already regular. With all that is going on with my body do you recommend doing the cleanse or should I just continue with the Vitex and Maca and skip the cleanse? I am sorry if I gave to much information but I am kind of alone when it comes to natural intervention and I am really looking for answers.

Thank you so much for you time and patience,
Chelsie

Chelsie,

Doing the Cleanse is really up to you. It is not meant to change your menstrual cycle in a significant way, it is meant to help build a healthy foundation for hormonal balance by gently cleansing the liver and the uterus.

Because the cleanse is cleansing out the livers excess hormones which dumps the toxins into your blood stream to be cleansed out through menstruation, sweat, urine, ect. there is a chance that your period at the end of the cycle may be different.

It is up to you, whether you think you need to cleanse or not. Remember that Vitex takes many months to acheive benefits (6-12).
