Castor Oil packs after miscarriage?

Castor Oil packs after miscarriage?

Postby akk » Fri Jan 15, 2010

Hello. I currently had my 4th miscarriage. It happened early on and I thought everything was behind me, but when I went to the doctor for a follow-up I tested positive on a pregnancy test. I had my hcg levels checked and they were rising slowly, so my doctor gave me a shot of methotrexate to kill the cells. This seems to be working, but my hcg levels are coming down very slowly. My doctor is trying to avoid giving me another d&c (I've already had 3 of them). However, she says the d&c will happen if the numbers don't start dropping faster. Last time they were checked they were at 237, down from about 320.

My question is, will castor oil packs help any to get things moving/healing? Since what I thought was the full miscarriage, I have been having bits of tissue come out when I use the bathroom. Not a lot, and mostly reddish/brown in color. I want to do the cleanse, but I know I need to wait until my levels are down. Do you have any thoughts/suggestions about helping to get my numbers down?

I really don't want to have another surgery. Ugh.

Thanks for your help,
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Castor Oil packs, Self Fertility Massage and perhaps Red Raspberry tea (uterine tonic) may help.

So sorry to hear of your loss, have you read our Recurrent Miscarriages page? This may help you to learn the best natural therapies for this fertility challenge.
