My baby died at birth in Oct 2004. He was born with no kidneys. They had to do an emergency c-section. I have been trying to get pregnant again since Jan 2005 with no luck. I did get pregnant in July 06 but miscarried at 6 weeks. I was spotting the whole time. I have used clomid for over a year and 4 months of famara with no luck. I also had 5 IUIs done. In Jan 2008 they did a lap and found out I had moderate endo. They said my tubes were clean though. We found out in Nov 2008 my husband had low sperm count. He has been on clomid since then and his sperm count is up. I also tried acupuncture for months and herbs. All the herbs they gave me to take caused my periods to be off and I had the upset stomach. I had to drive 1 1/2 hours each way once a week to go. That wore me out. I just dont know where else to go from here. I do have a son that will soon be 12. Never had any problems getting pregnant. I am very thankful for him. My son that died, it took me 6 months to get pregnant with him. Please help me. I wonder if I should get another lap done.

Were you given an explanation as to why your baby was born without kidneys?

They told us it was a fluke that he was born with no kidneys. Later on we found out my husband has 1 kidney. We had my first son checked and he has both. I saw a new dr today and she wants meto have a hsg Monday to check my uterus and tubes. She said it will probably come back clean since my lap in Jan 08 showed my tubes were opened. She is also checked my egg reserve too. They drew blood today and said I would get the results in 7 to 10 days. She said the only thing left to do is IVF. I am so sad and heart broken. IVF is soooooo expensive.
