Hi Maky,

Switching over to eating a wholefood nutrient dense diet may be best. You may also want to learn about the benefits of supplementing with a complete Omega supplement. Increasing good fats through the oils you suggested are also a good idea.

Best wishes,

Dalene

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to get the trans fats out from the body, we used to eat many french fries, my kids, too. Do you think the cod fish oil or coconut oil will replace the trans fats that are already in the body for long time?
Many thanks

Hi Jill,

The Fertilica Maca Caps daily dose is 1 capsule 1-2 times a day. This is because our Maca is more concentrated and thus more potent, therefore the daily dosage will be less than other Maca products.

I am glad to hear of your healthy results from your diet and lifestyle changes, that is great. You may also want to read our Absent Periods Page to help you learn about the best natural remedies that may help to establish a regular menstrual cycle.

Best Wishes,

I ordered your Maca pills, but I was curious to know how much am I supposed to be taking. The bottle suggest taking 1 pill daily. However, I read somewhere that if you are taking it to increase fertility you should be taking 3-6 pills daily. What is your recommendation?
btw - 10 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS. I maintain a healthy weight, workout regularly, eat a great diet...so my symptoms of PCOS have subsided. No cyst are present on my ovaries. I do have a 3 year old son who was conceived by surprise. I do not have periods on my own - they are always medically induced. I just wanted to give you some insight.

Thanks so much!

Dear Naaz,

There is no one food that is going to make all of your fertility issues go away. It may be best to combine fertility superfoods such as Maca and Royal Jelly to a nutrient dense Fertility Diet. Increased facial hair and irregular periods can be a sign of estrogen dominance and progesterone defficiency. It may be best for you to get your hormone levels tested so you can know for sure before beginning any herbs or supplements for fertility. Sometimes all it takes is lifestyle change to turn things around positively for healthy fertility.

All the best,

Dalene
